Tricuspid Regurgitation

More than heart, and beyond the numbers.

There is a growing and unmet need for patients struggling with TR, a progressive heart valve disease that diminishes quality of life and increases the risk of death.

What is Tricuspid Regurgitation?

Tricuspid Regurgitation occurs when blood flows backwards through the tricuspid valve. This creates less blood flow to the lungs, causing the heart to work harder to pump blood, resulting in fatigue, swelling, and shortness of breath.

Normal Valve

An effective tricuspid valve fully opens and closes, pumping blood to the lungs and ensures effective heart function.

Leaky Valve

When the Tricuspid Valve doesn’t close properly, regurgitation of blood in the wrong direction occurs.

A progressive disease with a progressive solution.

A healthy valve enables normal right heart function.

When TR occurs, blood flows backwards, causing symptoms.

Symptoms can include fatigue, shortness of breath, ankle and abdominal swelling.

In advanced cases, the disease will cause heart failure and lead to further health issues.
