Accounts Assistance – Part- time
Reporting to:
Finance Manager
Location: IFSC, Dublin. Hybrid working option, minimum 2 days in office.
About us:
CroíValve is an early-stage medical device company focused on developing a minimally invasive device for the treatment of tricuspid regurgitation. A €15m Series B round was closed in summer 2024, with participation from all existing investors and a new US investor. In July 2025, we were awarded grant funding of €2.5m from Horizon Europe’s European Innovation Council (EIC) Accelerator Programme, combined with a new investor matched equity investment of €10m in our next financing round.
We manufacture the product for our clinical trials in our Dublin offices where the CEO and Co-Founder Lucy O’Keeffe is based. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic company in the MedTech industry and have visibility across a wide range of its activities.
The company has grown rapidly over the past year, increasing FTEs by 30%. This role is suited to someone who can quickly get up to speed, understanding the business and the financial impact of costs, working with the team to provide insights that can help inform business strategies.
About the role:
This is a part time role, where the Accounts Assistant will be responsible for day-to-day finance activities including, but not limited to, processing invoices, managing accounts payable for both our Irish and US legal entity, bank reconciliations, accruals and prepayments. This role is fully responsible for ensuring that all costs are allocated correctly and that the management accounts are produced on time in accordance with our accounting policies.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Administration and monitoring of Accounts mailbox.
- Review and verify invoices prior to posting them on our accounting system, Quick Books, ensuring all invoices are coded correctly.
- Communicate with vendors and management on any issues or queries with invoices.
- Preparation of supplier payment runs (two per month – mid month and end of month).
- Bank reconciliations.
- Accounting for month end accruals and prepayments.
- Recording Capital Expenditure and maintaining fixed asset register.
- Other ad hoc duties.
About the Person:
- 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role (finance officer, accounts payable, accounts assistant).
- Excellent Excel skills.
- Experience using Quick Books is desirable.
- At ease in a start-up environment with a hands-on, problem-solving mentality.
